Center for Cell and Gene Therapy (CAGT) houses two Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facilities for the preparation of cell and gene therapy products for use in Phase I/II clinical trials.
In addition there is a Quality Control Laboratory, that performs testing on products and the manufacturing environment, and a Flow Cytometry Facility for analysis of therapeutic cells.
The staff have considerable experience in preparing a wide range of cell and gene therapy products in one of the largest academic GMP facilities in North America.
The Cell Processing Facility is one of three national somatic cell therapy processing laboratories contracted by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute under its Production Assistance for Cell Therapy program.
